What happened??? (28 days to go!!!)

This is so depressing. I switch on my computer at work, to find my YM bright orange. The first message I see is from a friend back home, saying something to the effect "Our country is so messed up. Marry me!!!" To be honest, this made me laugh at first... But it made me wonder what could have happened, that so many people were IMng me about arrests and recent events.

And now, I'm still not clear with what happened. I read the Inquirer Online and it mentioned rallies... and proclamations... and political arrests... but I still don't fully understand what's happening. This has been going on for some time, and I guess I always thought it over... apparently, GMA is just getting started. Can anyone briefly explain why she thinks the military is after her??? Is it the military? Or Erap? In any case, this really sucks... When will our country ever be at rest???

On a selfish note, I hope that they don't do something stupid like cancel flights to Manila or something because of all the controversy. I still want to go home. Despite the mess and the arrests and the safety issues.

YAY exactly 4 weeks from now, I'll be on my way to the airport! Yay! I can't believe I've been away for 9 months already... ang bilis. Anyway. Pray for me!!! I'm working on something, and if it pushes through I'll be so incredibly happy. Soooo yeah. Cross your fingers!

(Random note. I always "sign" emails at work with a Thanks, Eleanor. I can't believe I've been working so hard that I was about to sign my post off with a Thanks, Eleanor. Isn't that so pathetic?)
