Haaaapppyyy Biiiiiiiiirthdaaaaay...

to my dear sister Clarisse and my wonderful Dad!!! Clarisse, wish you and Yelle were here to celebrate with us! MWAH*

Soo... I'm back! Since it's thanksgiving weekend, I decided to copy Cathy B. and make a list of all the things I'm incredibly thankful for.

(in no particular order whatsoever.)

1. My friends, wherever you are, be it Canada (Hi Chesca! ;p) Manila or America! And special mention to Rach who was in San Francisco a few weeks ago... HI RACH!!! Send me the pic okay? :)

2. My family and relatives who celebrated thanksgiving with us last thursday

3. Holidays that give way to looooong weekends!

4. And of course, the one reason (well, one of the many reasons anyway) why I was MIA for a while... my brand new (well, brand new for me, secondhand for some) car!!! (and that's exciting news #1 i was referring to in the previous post)

Yes folks. Just the other week I brought my car home. Well technically, my tito brought the car home since I was too scared to drive it. But it's home, and that's what matters! Please excuse my materialistic side, but this is not just a wala lang thing. This is huuge for me. This means I'm one step closer to total independence... which might take a while for me to achieve, but hey, every step counts, right?

Hmmm what else have I been up to? Oh yeah. I've been so family deprived these past few months, but thank God, since I won't be home for the holidays, my parents are here to celebrate with me! And my brother of course. Sayang sana nandito din sina Clarisse and Marielle, but oh well, can't have everything. There's always next year, when I go home to Manila! (exciting news # 2!) Wooohooo. Party na 'to. I'll post my sched as soon as I have it, but most probably either Feb, March or April. Hahahahahaha. Or May or June or July or August or September... yuck corny. Hahaha sorry. I don't know what's up with me I'm kinda weird today. Yes, today lang!!!

Ooooh I know what else I'm thankful for! The other week my brother and I watched the Harry Potter movie (which is the best for me so far) and for some reason, the format wasn't right. It wasn't full screen for the opening credits and they kept on stopping it and resuming it and all. But finally after about 5-10 minutes, they got things right and Harry Potter started without any problem. But because we (the audience) were hassled for a few minutes, the theater gave us free tickets so we can watch another movie anyday, anytime, for free! Isn't that so great? So i'm thankful for the "must-please-customer" attitude of America. Yay! And so my brother and I are gonna watch Rent the movie sometime this weekend. Yay!

And guess what I did the other day during my lunch break!!! I'd post pix but it's still with my officemate (coz I forgot to bring my darn camera grr. anyway.) I went ice skating!!! Yes Lee, ice skating!!! Finally after sooooo many years (haha exag) of wanting to go ice skating in southmall or megamall, I finally went ice skating in the embarcadero center. Fine, so i lost my balance a few times. But at least I didn't fall on my butt AT ALL! (Which is kinda impossible since I was holding onto the railing like, more than half the time. But still!! And Jacqueline said the ice wasn't that great coz it was uneven and all, so there. ;p) Oooh and I had a kilig moment pa coz of my not-so-great-ice-skating-skills. My cutie officemate who isn't my crush but kinda is helped me skate for a while by holding me while skating. O diba, classic corny movie? But it was very nakaka tiny kilig. Kulang nalang mag snow. Hahahahahahaha. Maan, WHAT is UP with me?? Anyway.

Yesterday was the biggest sale so far in the US of A coz it was after thanksgiving. The night before my mom and I were actually debating whether we should go to the mall at 6 or what, since some shops were opening at 5 and some at 6. I even set my alarm for 6:30, but in the end, we got to the mall at 9. But that didn't stop my mom from spending soooooooo much, it was pretty funny. Me, i wanted to shop but between my car and car insurance and saving up for my plane ticket home, i didn't want to buy stuff i didn't really need. So i just bought this shirt i'm going to deconstruct (is that the word?) for my hiphop performance, and (drumroll please...) a leather jacket! i've been dying to have one, and now that it's getting reaaally cold, i decided that it was the perfect time. and of course, it didn't hurt that it's exactly the kind of jacket i've been looking for since i decided i wanted one. it's brown, and nice and leather. wooohooo. pero basta. no na. the next major thing i'll buy for myself will be the last thing. promise. well... unless it's something i need. so the next major thing i really don't need but i buy anyway will be the last thing.

Oh, I have a new name for a diet. It's called saving up for a plane ticket home. Because I don't want to spend unecessarily anymore, I bring baon (sometimes) to work, or I don't eat at all and just walk around. And my tummy got smaller. My face is still round though. Advice, anyone? Haircut? Well, I tried that already and my face is still round. Grabe I just had 3 inches cut off and the other day my dad said my hair was so long na. Haaaay. Is it time to get it cut suuper short again? Or curled? Hmmmm....

Can I just share... So the other week I picked up my dad from the airport. My mom's been here since september so they haven't seen each other for a while. And so when we got home, when they saw each other they hugged each other sooo tight and for sooo long, it was incredibly sweet. Haaaay. And next week it's their 30 something Wedding Anniversary. Basta ako rin. Someday. ;p
