it's funny...

...that i should talk about being in the right place, at the right time, at the right moment.

so last night i was supposed to go out with a bunch of friends because this really great place had free entrance. but it got cancelled, because no one could really make it except for me. of course, it's no fun to party by yourself (well i've never tried it, but i don't think it's gonna be fun), so since i haven't been getting a lot of sleep, i decided to just go shopping after work, and then go home to relax, fix my room, read a book, sleep, and do all the things i haven't been able to do. now, i usually walk to the BART with two of my officemates/friends. yesterday, when it was almost time to go, i messaged my friends if they were ready to go. well, apparently, one of them is leaving the company next week, and they were gonna watch the NY/Boston baseball game in this bar and grab a couple of drinks afterwards and they invited me to join them. so i weighed my options. shopping/going home to fix my room/surf the net/read/sleep or watch the (extremely boring) baseball game/hang out with my friends, with one of them leaving work/drink? well i haven't shopped in a while so i really had to think about it but in the end, the alcoholic in me won. it was fun... my first time to have dark beer. and i totally enjoyed hanging out with them, and i'm so glad with the way things are working out for me because i'm getting to meet people my age i can hang out with after work. yay! downside, i didn't bring my camera. that should teach me to always bring a camera because you never know what's gonna happen, who you'll meet, see or hang out with. fun fun. :)

night before, i hung out with another officemate and we went to oakland hills to watch another officemate (yet again) perform in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Inggit ako sobra. Not of the musical (although yeah, inggit din ako dun but at least he forwarded me a bunch of sites who'll have auditions for plays. i saw one, auditions for (drumroll please..!) FOOTLOOSE! yay!!! but that's not til may of next year, so i have to wait til then.) but of my officemate, who's my age but she has her own place. coz after work we took the bus to her apartment to get her car and eat food and get warm clothes (ampitheater in the hills=freezing cold). it was soo cool, a real apartment and all (as opposed to a fake one right, haha)!!! i want one too. but one thing at a time. first things first, so i MUST not be sidetracked by other things. hay money. you always want more than what you have.

time flies. i've been here almost 4 months now. ooooh guess what i have my driver license! it came in the mail yesterday. i had the paper kind before, now i have the card kind, yay! and i'm an organ and tissue donor, because i signed up for it. so at least í can still make a difference through death. ;p for those who live in california and who want to sign up too, visit Donate Life California Organ and Tissue Donor Registry.
