imagine that...
Me!!! I actually opted to stay home tonight rather than party. For someone who hasn't been out in a while, that's a big thing. But I couldn't help it, I'm just sooo tired. Because I went out last night woohoo. And I had another job interview this morning, but first things first. My first night out since I got here.
So I went to San Bruno yesterday coz I had this interview with this agency, (I know I know... again. I'll get a job soon promise.) and on my way back I decided to text my friend who lived in the area, coz maybe we could meet up or something. Well apparently it was the birthday of his brother that day, and they were having dinner downtown and he invited me along! Offering transpo and all which is a big thing (again!) coz otherwise, I had no way whatsoever (some things never change). So jepoy and his cousin christina picked me up from my house and we hung out in their house for a while. After some time we went to Union Square, and we ate in the Cheesecake Factory where they have the most amazing cheesecakes...! (And amazing view!) Yummy... not too sweet, not bland, just right...mmm perfect. I totally enjoyed meeting his family and friends coz they made me feel really welcome and they're a lotta fun to hang out with! And his mom really really reminded me of geegee, his gf. Parang long lost daughter si geegee haha! Anyway. Afterwards we went bowling and I'm sorry to say but I suck. As in. Andaming gutter ball, and I actually accidentally let go of the ball in the opposite direction one time, away from the pins! Isn't that just... I dunno, crazy? Haha, well, that's me. Not a bowler or bowling player or whatever you call people who bowl. But I had lots of fun, there was a DJ playing hip hop music and I was itching to dance, but maybe I'll do that next time. Yay! :)
So I got home past 2... and I woke up at 6:30 to prepare for my interview. I had to be in the office by 9, and I gave myself a little over an hour for travel time, which should have been enough. But I didn't take into consideration getting lost. Hahaha! For the first time, going to a place I've been to before, I got lost. Because usually, from the montgomery station I just follow the signs pointing to montgomery street, but what I didn't know was that there's a difference between New Montgomery and Montgomery... at least I think so. Anyway. So it was 9 am, I was walking around trying to find my way, on the phone leaving a message for the recruiter saying I'd be late, and I finally decided to just go back to the station to ask for directions. 10 minutes later, wild-eyed, out of breath, still frantic, I was being interviewed. It went pretty well though... apart from my mababaw answers. Coz he was asking questions that were related to work experience, about my integrity, overcoming adversity, stuff like that. And in one question, I actually told him about a HS experience in the Cheering Varsity...! HS experience na nga, cheering pa. Ano ba 'yan. But it was all good, he was pretty nice and we even talked about cheerleading a bit haha! After the interview, they tested my people skills, like the way I'm able to relate to the customer and things like that. I was nervous coz I had to talk to 3 "customers" about financial stuff, which I don't know anything about, but to make the long story short, I passed and they're calling me back for the final interview more or less a week from now. Yay again! But I dunno if it's the job for me. We'll see...
I'm finally taking the DMV written exam tom... I hope I pass the first time. Wish me luck!
