I'm getting a job!

Yes, after being a bum for a month, I've finally been offered a job I actually want to take. But first things first... I'm in LA! My tita, who just invested in a company that's gonna be launched this july, asked me to make their catalog and to work on their webpage, and since it's based in LA, she flew me over so we could talk about it and work on it together. So last thursday, i packed my bags yet again to prepare for the 45 minute plane trip to burbank early the next day.

i like LA, there're so many things to do! so when i arrived, my tita picked me up and we had lunch in this japanese resto, and i was able to fulfill my sushi craving. yummy unagi, yummy maki... she's not working right now (long story) so we had the whole day to kill. we went to this place and decided to watch batman begins, but the next showing was in 2 hours. so we ate ice cream (i had the hugest banana split from cold stone. hay.), and she took me shopping! i bought a new bikini (hehehe) coz we're also going to vegas this week and there's this amazing pool in the hotel where we're staying. wish me luck, i hope i win big so i can go back to manila na. haha just kidding! anyway so far it's been fun here, we went cherry picking yesterday, and we always eat out coz my tita doesn't like cooking, so it's different from my life in the bay area where i'm always home if i have no plans for the day. my tita's sort of pushing me to look for work here coz i think she wants me to stay here with her nalang, but i dunno. as it is, i just got a job offer in the bay area... yes, a few months from now i will be a licensed financial adviser. american express financial advisers, after 3 interviews and 2 tests, offered me a job, and i'm supposed to call them on monday with my response. i like the job, because i actually sort of like finance (aside from the accounting part, that is) and at least in a few years if i decide to go live in manila, i can put up my own practice there. and at least not only will i be helping people with their finances, but i'll also learn enough so that my future is secure too. and it doesn't hurt that the benefits are good, and the pay is, well, yeah. ;p

anyone need a financial adviser?

i don't know how long i'm staying in LA, it depends on AMEX if i can stay in LA for a month. I want to watch the hilary duff concert kasi eh, but it's on july 12. yes, i have tickets!!! sorry, teenybopper. :) so what, i like hilary duff. ;p
