Happy Monthsary! ;p

I have been a permanent resident of the United States of America for exactly a month, today. (59 more months til i can apply for citizenship woohoo...)

I arrived here not knowing anyone, (well, yeah I have relatives here but hello, who doesn't? ;p) not knowing how to get around, no job, no car, no nothing.

Well, I still have no job, no car, and I don't know a looot of people, but I know how to go to Union Square, I know that there is no Route 14 on sundays, I know that montgomery and new montgomery are one and the same, I know that a stop sign means that the wheels of your car MUST stop rolling, I know that you should never ever drink 2 shots of liquid cocaine (no, it's not some kinda drug, it's an extremely strong alcoholic drink) if you don't want to do incredibly stupid things in front of your friends, like headstands, egg rolls, and other various balancing acts you would otherwise have a hard time doing sober.

I may not be "living the life" yet, as anchot put it one time, but i'm proud to say that I'm getting there. It's only a matter of time.

You know why? Because like cathy b., I'm also one of God's favorites. Yay for me! :)

i love being single. ;p 'nuff said.

I drove around last sunday with my uncle who gave me words of encouragement by telling me that when i have enough money to buy a car, "...bumili ka nang secondhand, dahil siguradong makakabangga ka." And my other uncle following behind, saying, "...yung insurance! yung insurance nang kotse nasa likod nang driver's seat!"

how very reassuring. ;p

of course, they said these things jokingly, so i know that they know I'm a capable driver. because i am. really. me? of course.
