very random thoughts...

don't you just love it when something happens out of the ordinary? like an old friend calling you up, or someone giving you a surprise or thoughtful gesture, or waking up with nothing to do or worry about, or coming home from a spending a great day with a friend, or seeing everything in your life just fall into place, exactly the way you want it, or getting what you truly and really want, be it material or otherwise. there are so many things that can put a smile on my face, that makes me feel special, acknowledged, remembered.

anyway. the reason for all this is because an old friend of mine called me up the other night to wish me a happy birthday, and i was really pleasantly surprised because i haven't seen or spoken to him for over a year now, and it's nice to know that although we're not in touch anymore, i'm still remembered by him at least once every year. or make that twice since i also greet him during his birthday. wala lang, saya. ;p

......

i think that what cathy said in her blog is true. although it's more romantic to think that for every person, there's only that one person meant for him or her... can that really be? is there really just one as in one person you're destined to end up with? or do you get to choose who the one will be for you? i dunno. because if the decision is up to you, then anyone can be your the one, so it won't be that special anymore. sometimes i like to think that if it's meant to be, it's meant to be, but in the end, are you just fooling yourself that it's meant to be? what if by thinking that you're meant to be with this one person only, you miss out on the chance to be with the person you're really meant to be with? or you miss out on the chance to be with other people? haha labo, i don't think i'm making much sense. but i've always wondered... if you do meet someone you really really love, as in truly love, how would you know if you should hold on to it or just let it go?

......

there's this book i read before, and one of the characters was this historian who wrote every single happening in the world down to the littlest detail, like the conversations, actions, everything. sometimes i wish that there was such a person in the world today, because then, everyone would be forced to stick to their word, everyone would be forced to keep their promises, and there'd be written evidence for words claimed to not be said or spoken. i also wish that people would just say what they mean, and not, as they say, beat around the bush by saying something in order to mislead the other person from thinking something else. i mean, masaktan na kung masaktan, pero mas masasaktan ka pa kung hindi mo na diniretso yung dapat mo talagang sabihin. i just hate the feeling of finding out that you were mislead by someone into thinking something else, because you just end up getting really hurt and betrayed. okay, i'm not saying i don't or didn't or will never do that, but i would never do something to intentionally hurt someone else... but in the event that i do, it must mean that i was extremely hurt and felt justified in my actions. nowadays i feel that there are only very few people who understand what i'm going through and the rest just take everything as they see it. even the people who i thought would understand me best doesn't really seem to truly understand what i really feel, and i guess it just makes me sad.

i just realized i haven't updated my blog since blueroast, and a lot has happened since then. blueroast was so much fun, i love sugarfree! and the after party in ave's house was like blueroast all over again, hahaha. Ü but it was really fun, thanks to the music of dj switch!! ;p who, of course, was also one of the headturners along with gabs! woohoo! some pix during blueroast and in ave's house, me between the headturners!

Things i hate about graduation day.

It's long.
It's hot.
You go to school fully made up and you go home sticky, with your ironed hair all wavy instead.
The shoes you thought looked so good on you apparently aren't great for your feet. Blisters galore.
You prepare so much for a ceremony where people will see you for less than 30 seconds.
You don't even get to see your friends from other courses.

But most of all...

It's sad because you begin to realize that it will be the last time you'll get to see your friends, and it's hello to the working world for you. No more classes you can charm your way through, papers and tests you can cram for hours before, friends you can meet up with between classes, sem break, summer vacation, christmas vacation and school holidays.

How sad... I really enjoyed my stay in ateneo and i don't regret anything one bit. It was fun, fast, and truly truly memorable. Congratulations to Batch 2005! And to patrick who was also the valedictorian of my HS class in zobel. ;p

One thing i DO love about grad are the after grad parties. Like the one in ponti last friday, and the one in Abu's house last saturday sponsored by the H bench. It was fun to see the seniors again, even if i just saw them nung grad. some pix.Ü

To those who remembered my birthday, thanks! Ü It was a fun day, pao gave me a bunch of books i've been dying to read (yes, dying. haha!Ü) the comtech launch was fun (and very informative!) and athlete's night was fun as well. the program was pretty short though, and sayang people left when the bands started playing, some were pretty good. afterwards me and a bunch of other friends decided to continue partying in gweilo's, although i wouldn't call it a party party. We just celebrated my birthday, and i can't believe i'm now 21. yikes. old. legal. adult. oooooh. hahaha ;p i went to ponti again last night, but too bad not a lot of people were there. the music was great pa naman, very danceable. heheÜ
